Quiz Assistant
Visware Quiz Assistant helps you to build and deliver computer-scored tests, quizzes and surveys on Windows PCs. It is a comprehensive test and survey tools comprising three elements, i.e. Visware Quiz Reader, Visware Quiz Writer and Visware Quiz Reporter.
We use a smart client concept to develop this package. This means you don't need to worry about any problems in connection to server maintenance and database management. You don't have to employ a programmer or a database administrator to build and manage your personalized tests or surveys. You don't need extra IT infrastructure to keep your test data and result. All you and the quiz-taker need is a basic knowledge of operating a word processor.
On the other hand, Visware Quiz Reader can work on the network (LAN) environment without modification. Quiz-takers can do the same quiz at the same time in the same location under a LAN environment.
Features:
- Easy-to-use authoring tool. - You can start using right away.
- No Database Server and no Web Server. ¡V You can work on your own without waiting for a LAN administrator to help.
- Support seven most commonly used question types, ie. Multiple Choice (Single Answer), Multiple Choice (Multiple Answer), True/False, Fill-in-the-blank, Matching, Ordering/Ranking and Essay Type. ¡V You can use a wide variety of question type.
- Support pictures in bmp, dib, jpg, gif and wmf format. - You can use scanner to scan pictures and graphics to enrich the quiz and/or survey.
- Support multi-media (sound and video) files..- You can use it for visual and/or listening tests.
- Support text formatting. ¡V You can format the quiz the way you want.
- Question texts are in Rich Text Format (RTF) which means that authors can easily "copy and paste" text and graphic from most word processors, e.g. MS Word. - You do not need to switch your favorable word processor.
- Option to hide score and/or model answers from quiz-takers during the quiz. Authors can unhide score and/or model answers after the quiz by giving quiz-takers an enable key for the quiz. This key, which is a small quiz-specific file (less than 20 bytes) can easily be sent over e-mail to enable quiz takers to view model answers.- A feature you can use to stimulate interest in learning.
- Option to set time limit for testing. - You can give the quiz-taker a time limit.
- Option to organize and group questions under different Parts and/or Sections. - You can organize your quiz into parts and /or sections, the usual way an examination or test looks.
- Option to generate random sequence of questions. - You can reuse the quiz to consolidate learning.
- Option to print a hard copy in paper testing format with or without answer of the quiz. - Quiz-takers can sit the test on paper and you have the choice of going through the questions without a PC.
- On-line help and web-based FAQ available. - Handy help if you are in trouble.
- Answered quiz file remains on the quiz-takers' PC for future reference, review and study. Quiz takers can review the quiz and answers any time he / she likes.
- Options to password protect questions files. - You can retain ownership of quiz materials.
- No need to risk the security at the hand of database administrator. - You can export individual question in any given quiz to any person for re-used.
- Multiple methods for delivering quiz or survey file(s) to and receiving answer file(s) from quiz-takers: by E-mail, floppy, CD, LAN, internet, etc. - You can send questions to quiz taker in your and their most convenient way.
- Easy-to-use Visware Quiz Reporter for keeping quiz-takers' result in a database without the involvement of database administrator. - You can conduct analysis on quiz results with the analytical tools in Visware Quiz Reporter yourself. - You can conduct analysis on past quiz results to fine tune your future quiz.
- Generating full sets of reports according to criteria set by authors. Ability to rank the degree of difficulty of questions after a number of quiz-takers attempted the quiz.
- Option to set passing mark for quiz. - You can now optionally determine how many quiz takers can pass.
- Reports will show quiz-takers with highest score, lowest score, pass and fail in different colour. Provide average score and median score in reports for analysis and reference. -You can conduct analysis with a few key strokes in Visware Quiz Reporter.
- All reports
in MS Excel formats for easy modification. - You can even customize
your own analysis using Excel.
